BSMQ Suspends Applications

10/4/17 Business and Skilled Migration Queensland has temporarily suspended the acceptance of all applications for Queensland Skilled Visa Nominations under the State Nominated scheme Subclass 190 & 489, due to having reached our DIBP allocated ceiling.  BSMQ will advise shortly as to when the nomination process will reopen. Perth Based Positions Suspended For RSMS

Vietnam Added to 462 Eligible Countries

Change to Cessation of Bridging Visas

19/11/16 Bridging visa will now cease 35 days after the Minister or Tribunal makes a decision on an application. Previously the cessation occurred after 28 days.

457 Visa – Period of Unemployment Reduced

19/11/16 Under visa condition 8107, the period of unemployment when changing sponsors has been reduced from 90 days to 60 days. Periods of unemployment of greater than 60 days can now result in visa cancellation.

New Frequent Traveller Stream 600 Visa

19/11/16 A new Frequent Traveller Stream has been introduced to the 600 Visitor visa category, allowing a visa grant period of 10 years with 3 month stay on each entry. The visa is for Tourism or Business.
